All accepted papers need to be prepared in accordance with the IEEE Conference Template. Final versions of accepted papers must be prepared using IEEE PDF eXpress:
For each paper, one author has to complete the IEEE Copyright Form. The copyright form will be an IEEE electronic Copyright Form (eCF) that will be filled online. The official IEEE eCF will be sent to the registered (or first) author's email address from an IEEE registered domain, to fill on behalf of himself and other co-Authors, after the camera-ready submission period is over.
Important note: Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and multiple publications using IEEE CrossCheck Portal. Submitting authors will be checked have they been prohibited from publishing with any or all IEEE publications using The IEEE Prohibited Authors List (PAL) Database.
All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the conference. The proceedings would be submitted to IEEE Xplore and is expected to be published and indexed by EI.
The SMARTTECH is a live conference that depends on the presentations given during their sessions, and discussion after the talks and in the breaks. Authors who fail to present their paper leave a gap in the program, which is unacceptable for the conference audience.
The IEEE has implemented policies to exclude authors who do not present their paper from further distribution of their publication, such as exclusion from IEEE Xplore. Such papers will be archived at IEEE but will not be indexed or appear in IEEE Xplore.
SMARTTECH balances the interests of a high quality conference with fairness towards the authors and audience members. Therefore, SMARTTECH and its Workshops apply this policy, and reserve the right to preclude authors who do not present their paper at the conference from having their papers published in IEEE Xplore.
